A 45-year-old woman has been arrested for smuggling 42 children from the North to Lagos without their parents’ consent, according to reports.
“The suspect intended to force the 42 children into labor and trafficking,” accoding to reports.
The three underage children, two females and one male were rescued by detectives while monitoring her movements.
The suspect has been declared wanted by the Kwara State Command in connection to many underage children that have disappeared which has been linked to her syndicate.
The anti-human trafficking unit of the Kwara State Police Command was contacted and confirmed that they had recovered some of the remaining 11 children.
The suspect had admitted and provided the addresses where the children were kept as well as the names of the parents.
