Insolite: they are twins but were not born in the same year

They are twin brothers but they were born on different days and especially in different years. Their names are Ezra and Ezekial and they were born in New Jersey, USA, 40 minutes apart.

Ezra was born first, at 11:48 p.m. on the night of December 31, 2023 and his brother Ezekial was born at 12:28 a.m. on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024.

According to an Instagram post from the hospital where they were born, the babies have an older brother who turns 3 this Wednesday, January 3.

In a surprising coincidence, the babies’ father, Billy Humphrey, was also born on December 31. “How strange and wonderful that we now have this moment to share,” he told Fox News. “I have a feeling the paperwork is going to be the hardest,” he joked. “If you tell someone you have twins, they’ll want to write the same date. But no, they were also born on different days in different years.”

“They’ll say they’re twins, and they’ll say you’re lying,” added Eve, the babies’ mother, also happy to have a unique story to tell her children.
