Two siblings have drowned while swimming at the Ibeshe Beach in the Amuwo-Odofin area of Lagos State, Nigeria.
“The two men were swimming with their friends before the disaster,” according to reports.
An eyewitness recounted the incident and expressed his condolences to the deceased’s parents.
“All efforts by his friends and local divers to rescue them from Ibeshe Beach did not work. The divers searched the beach but their bodies have not been found,” the eyewitness added.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and disclosed that divers had been hired to find the bodies, while investigation was underway, noting that the deceased’s family had already been notified.
