A woman has stabbed her boyfriend to death during an altercation in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, according to reports.
“The suspect and the deceased had an argument which led to beating the suspect but in an attempt to defend herself, she stabbed him in the neck,” reports said.
“The deceased collapsed after losing blood due to the injury sustained from the stab,” reports added.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upoon arrival.
The Rivers Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, stressing that the suspect had been taken into custody and would be prosecuted as soon as investigation was concluded.
