Joe Biden’s presidential motorcade was involved in an incident while leaving their campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, U.S.
The U.S. President and First Lady Jill Biden were leaving their campaign headquarters when a Secret Service vehicle in the presidential motorcade was struck by a car in Wilmington, Delaware in United State.
Steve Kopek, spokesman for the Secret Service, confirmed to CNN the collision between the security vehicle of the presidential motorcade and a silver Ford sedan, registered in Delaware.
“There were no protective interests involved in this event, and the presidential motorcade was able to depart without incident”, he said.
The Wilmington Police Department also confirmed that no one had been injured in the incident, reassuring that the President and First Lady were in good health.
Members of the U.S. Secret Service were quickly dispatched to the scene to speak with the driver of the car that crashed into the side of a Secret Service SUV.
At this stage, the identity of the driver involved has not been released. Details of the exact circumstances of the accident have yet to be released, and an investigation is underway.
