A man jailed for stealing $16,000 from employer

A 27-year-old housekeeper has been sentenced to two and a half years’ hard labor for stealing $16,000 from his employer at Regimanuel Estate on the Spintex Road in Ghana.

The suspect denied the offence but was found guilty after trial and jailed accordingly.  

The complainant gave the suspect $16,000.00 to be given to someone on the Spintex road, but he absconded with the money and the complainant’s Apsonic motorbike to an unknown destination.

The suspect had left the motorcycle with a friend, a witness in the case, in Koforidua and travelled to Nigeria.

The friend was arrested, and that through him, the suspect came from Nigeria to Ghana and was arrested.     

After investigations, he was charged with the offence and put before this Court.
