A footballer has slumped and died during a training session at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.
“The player was undergoing training along with other footballers when the incident happened,”reports said.
The footballer was rushed to a state hospital in Ijebu-Ode when he was seen on the ground.
However, after spirited efforts by medical staff at the hospital, he was later pronounced dead the same day he was taken to the hospital.
The corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the state mortuary in Ijebu-Ode.
