As the deadly fighting continues in the Gaza Strip on November 23, women and children are the main victims, according to reports.
Commenting on the situation, the Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency said that 74% of the dead were children and women.
A truce agreement between Israel and Hamas providing for the release of 50 hostages held in the Gaza Strip in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners will not come into force until Friday November 24, the Israeli Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor said.

In the aftermath, Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s determination to continue the war.
The death toll from Israeli bombardments in the Gaza Strip has reached 14,128 since the start of the war on October 7, including 5,840 children, according to the Ministry of Health of Hamas, the Palestinian enclave’s ruling party.
Since then, more than 1,200 Israelis have been killed. The Israeli army reports that 239 people are being held hostage by the Palestinian Islamist movement.
