Father arrested for raping his daughter

A father has been arrested for raping her 16-year-old girl in Solotan Estate, Ogun State, Nigeria, according to reports .

The victim alleged that her father had continuously been demanding and forcing her to have sex inside his room.

According to the victim, the father began to demand sex immediately after her mother divorced him.

While reporting the incident to the operatives of the Ogun State Social Orientation and Safety Corps, who in turn took the case to the nearest police station, the father was arrested.

During the interrogation, the suspect claimed that the daughter was lying against him because he rebuked her for her waywardness and promiscuity.

Investigation was ongoing, according to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola.
