Man arrested for raping prophetess in Ogun church

A 40-year-old mason has been arrested for allegedly raping a prophetess in a church in the Ilogbo Adu area of Kemta in Ogun State, Nigeria.

“The suspect stormed the church with weapons and met the victim sleeping,” according to reports.

“He held the prophetess hostage while brandishing a knife in her face that he would kill her if she continued to give him a tough time,” it’ stated.

“The prophetess pleaded with him but the suspect insisted on having sex with her,” according to the victim.

The victim had proached a nearby police station, where the matter was reported.

The suspecct was later arrested after a manhunt by the police.

“The preliminary investigation into the matter is ongoing,” reports said.
