Ukraine will boycott UEFA competitions involving Russian teams

The Ukrainian Football Federation (AUF) has announced its intention to boycott European competitions in which Russian teams will be involved.

This announcement comes the day after UEFA’s decision to reinstate Russian teams under the age of 17.

The AUF “strongly condemns” this decision, according to a press release published on the website of this federation.

UEFA announced on Tuesday that it had decided, in agreement with the International Federation (Fifa), to reinstate the U-17 teams because “children must not be punished for acts for which the responsibility lies exclusively with adults”.
