Man arrested for pouring hot water on his daughter

A landlord has poured hot water on an 11-year-old girl in Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria, according to reports.

“The landlord had made it a habit to beat the girl and her mother when the mother was still with him,” according to a tenant.

“The victim was beaten because she refused to go school,” according to the suspect.

“He poured the hot water on her body. If you see the back, it’s all burnt. He inflicted injury on her head, I just heard that. I’m with her at the hospital,” the worried mother said.

“He poured boiled water on me,” the victim said.

The matter was reported and the man arrested. The girl has been discharged from the hospital and the case has been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
