A 28-year-old bride collapsed and died on the eve of her wedding, as she and her fiancé were preparing to descend the asile in Nigeria’s Oyo state, according to reports.
“The deceased and her friends were having her bridal shower ceremony when she slumped”, according to reports.
She was taken to LAUTECH University Hospital, where she was revived, appears stable and will briefly be allowed to attend the ceremony to sign the marriage documents, before returning for further treatment.
But then her condition deteriorated again and so she was confined to the bed.
Her husband who on learning of her condition fainted.
“The bride’s condition did not improve until she gave up the host,” reports said.
“Many guests who didn’t get wind of the development, were in the church for the wedding only to meet the church empty,” reports said.
