Man arrested for the death of his girlfriend

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man after the death of his 17-year-old girlfriend in Koral village, Garki LGA of the state, Nigeria, according to reports.

The deceased father reported that his biological daugther left the house and all effort to locate her proved abortive.

“The suspect was allegedly last seen together with the deceased,” the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Adam, confirmed.

He pointed out that on receipt of the information, the suspect was immediately arrested.

“The deceased decomposed body was found in a well, tied up with a rope,” reports said.

The body was taken to General Hospital Ringim, for medical examination and thereafter, confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

The suspect would be arraigned before the court to face the full wrath of the law upon completion of the investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
