Collision between two trams in Lisbon leaves several injured

A collision between two trams in a large avenue in the center of Lisbon caused 13 minor injuries on Thursday, including several tourists and three children, according to the relief quoted by local media.

Among the injured passengers, two French, two Czechs, an American, an Italian and a Spaniard describe themselves, a source from the Lisbon fire brigade told the Lusa news agency.

Eight passengers, suffering from trauma, were taken to hospital, according to the emergency services. The causes of this accident, which occurred in a large avenue that runs along the Tagus River, are not yet known.

Lisbon has a network of traditional and modern trams, very popular with tourists to discover the historic areas of the city.
