Three students jailed 5 years for rape

Three students have been jailed for plotting the gang rape of a cousin of one of them in Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state, Nigeria.

“The first defendant has invited his two friends to join him in the act while the victim was in the room,” according to him.

“The were found guilty of two counts of criminal conspiracy and rape of the victim,” reports said.

They were sentenced to five years imprisonment each for rape and two years each for criminal conspiracy.

The sentences, which include an additional fine of N50,000 to be paid by each of the defendants, are to be carried out simultaneously.
