Man arrested for defiling a four-year-old girl

A 43-year-old man has been arrested for raping a four-year-old girl in the North Bank area, a suburb of Makurdi in the state capital, Nigeria, according to reports.

 “The mother of the victim was away at the time the suspect lured the little her to his room,” according eyewitness.

“Some neighbours who heard the girl’s cry forcefully opened the door and called the policemen who arrested the suspect,” reports said.

 “The suspect is currently held at the police headquarters in Makurdi,” the eyewitness said

The Coordinator of Benue Coalition of Human Rights Protection, Jimmie Adzenda, said the group was following the case and would ensure that the culprit is punished to serve as a deterrent.
