Uganda: 150 students hospitalized after eating

150 students of Nakanyonyi Senior Secondary School have been taken to hospital over suspected food poisoning in Nagalama, Uganda, according to reports.

“The students had supper before they started complaining about stomachache and developed diarrhea,” a teacher said.

“They were given tablets but the situation became worse as some of them became unconscious”, the teacher added.

Police Evidence Response Unit personnel were also at the scene to comb for more exhibits.

Samples of the food they ate have been taken to Government Analytical Laboratory in Kampala for testing as investigations continue.
