A man arrested for his mother’s death

A 32-year-old man has strangled his mother at her residence in Itanrin, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria, according to reports.

The suspect was currently a neuropsychiatric patient.

“The suspect’s younger brother, a night guard, alerted neighbours to the development on his return from work,” reports said.

The suspect was arrested after the neighbours discovered that he was behind the death of his mother and subsequently handed him over to the police.

“The suspect had been known as drug addict who had fled from home for five years before he returned recently,” reports said.
