A father assaulted his son to death over coffee beans

Police in the Sheema district of western Uganda have arrested a 40-year-old man who assaulted his son to death for stealing coffee beans from his garden.

“The suspect assaulted his son using a big stick,” reports said.

The boy managed to escape to a neighbor’s house for refuge.

He stayed with the neighbor but later complain of serious pain in the chest, stomach and ribs.

“The boy died as he was about to be taken to the hospital,” reports said.

The suspect was arrested and the deceased was conveyed to Kabwohe Health Centre IV mortuary for postmortem.
