Android app starts listening to its users after being downloaded

The iRecorder app is no longer the nice screen recorder. Now it spies on Android users who have downloaded it.

A recording taken without your knowledge every quarter of an hour. This is the sad reality of the iRecorder app.

Available only on Android phones, this application has changed a lot since its arrival on the Google Play Store in September 2021.

Originally, iRecorder appeared as a solution to record your phone screen. But in a blog post from the We Live Security site, researcher Lukas Stefanko, specializing in Android security, points to a worrying change in operation after an update in August 2022, reports the specialized site Ars Technica.
