Man rapes 12-year-old peddler in unfinished building

A middle-aged man has raped a 12-year-old as she was hawking snacks in Igbokoda, the headquarters of the Ilaje Local Government Area of the state, Nigeria.

“The suspect lured the victim into an uncompleted building in the town where he perpetrated the act,” reports said.

“My daughter told me to allow her hawk puff-puff because we needed some money for her school fees. She later left home to hawk again. When it was getting late, I became apprehensive when I didn’t see her,” the victim’s mother said.

“She then came back exhausted and couldn’t tell what had happened until the next day,” she added.

The victims mother called on security agencies to assist her family in apprehending the fleeing suspect.
