A 44-year-old man fell into the Ago River on his way home from farm work in the Adansi North district of Ghana’s Ashanti region, according to reports.
Tragedy hit the people of Adokwai near Dompoase in the Adansi North district of the Ashanti Region.
“He failed to return home at the usual time and all efforts to locate him proved abortive,” according to his wife.
“My husband was discovered floating in the river with the abandoned bridge collapsed,” she added.
He is survived by a wife and four children.
“The bridge had been in a frail state for years now,” according to Adom News.
