South Carolina Senator Tim Scott announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in the United States on Monday, and will face former President Donald Trump.

Raised by a single mother and a working grandfather in the cotton fields, the man who became the only African-American senator in the Republican Party attacks the policies of Democratic President Joe Biden.
“Joe Biden and the radical left are attacking all the floors of this social elevator that has allowed me to rise. And that is why I am announcing today that I am a candidate for the presidency of the United States of America,” said Tim Scott in his candidacy speech.
