Former US president Donald Trump found responsible for sexual assault

A New York court on Tuesday found former US President Donald Trump responsible for sexual assault, for acts dating back to 1996 on a former journalist.

He will have to pay 5 million dollars in compensation for sexual assault and defamation.

Deliberations by the nine-member jury began after Judge Lewis Kaplan gave the panel final instructions and a verdict form in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

“This verdict is a disgrace,” denounced Donald Trump in the process.

“I have absolutely no idea who this woman is” he said.

Donald Trump’s campaign team said in a statement that he intended to appeal the decision.
