“Russia will be defeated in the same way as Nazism” President Zelensky

This Monday, May 8, the day of celebration of the victory of the Allies over Nazi Germany and the end of the Second World War, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky affirmed that Russia will be defeated “in the same way” as Nazism l was in 1945.

“All the old evil that modern Russia brings back will be defeated the same way Nazism was defeated,” he said in a speech posted on his social media, promising to “liberate” the territories occupied by Moscow.

During this speech, the Ukrainian leader also indicated that he had decided, by decree, that this date would henceforth be in his country that of the “historical unity” of Ukraine and of “the unity of all Europeans who destroyed Nazism and will defeat Ruscism.”

“We will never forget the contribution of the Ukrainian people to the victory over Nazism,” he said. “And we won’t allow anyone to lie that victory in this war could have happened without the participation of another country or people,” he said.

The Ukrainian president again accused Moscow of having opposed to the democratic ideals aggression and annexation, occupation and deportation, massacre and torture, the bombardment of cities and the burning of villages.
