24 suspects were arrested for alleged involvement in cultism, armed robbery, terrorism and other criminal activities in the Ogun state, Nigeria.
“The suspects confessed to being members of the Eiye, Vikings and Aiye confraternities,” according to the state Police Public, Abimbola Oyeyemi.
“The arrest of the suspects followed the recent upsurge in cult killings across the state, noting that cult clashes had claimed no fewer than five lives in recent times in the state,” he said.
The suspected robbers were arrested following an intelligent investigation.
They confessed to belonging to the Eiye confraternity.
