Men of the Kano State Police Command have arrested a man for strangling his 22-year-old pregnant girlfriend in Tudun-Wada Local Government Area of the state, Nigeria, reports said.
“We received information from a Good Samaritan that a lady was seen lying on the roadside, unconscious on Kano-Jos Road in Anadaria Village,” the state Commissioner of Police, Mamman Dauda said.
A team of policemen rushed to the scene and the victim was taken to Tiga General Hospital.
She was confirmed dead with her baby by a doctor.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mamman Dauda, confirmed the arrest.
The suspect was arrested and he confessed to committing the offense by using the victim’s veil to strangulate her.
