Teacher remanded for defiling student in Nigeria

A Yoruba teacher was arraigned for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student of the school in the Yaba Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria, according to reports.

“The accused had been having sexual intercourse with the victim, an under-aged, and had been in the act for a while in the school,“ reports said.

He has been having sexual intercourse with her through her vagina and anus.

The accused was arrested by the men of the state’s Area on one count of sexual defilement.

“The offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015,” according to the police prosecutor, Thomas Nurudeen.
