A sex worker was found dead when cleaners swept her room in a hotel in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria, according to reports.
The victim was suspected to be murdered or had committed suicide.
The positioning of the body suggested that she was strangled.
A colleague of the deceased said she might have been strangled by an early caller.
“She had a disagreement with a customer who paid her but she refused to give him access, as the latter threatened to deal with her,” according to her colleague.
An ambulance from the General Hospital, Onitsha, arrived and took the body away.
The Divisional Police Officer, Central Police Station, said investigations had commenced into the matter.
