A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in New Jersey for using a fake identification document to enroll in New Brunswick High School.
“The suspect had taken some classes and spent time with guidance counselors, who tried to find out more information about her,” according to the School District Superintendent Aubrey Johnson.
“The woman had texted some of them, asking them to hang out,” according to some students.
“New Jersey state law allows students to be enrolled in school even without a guardian or without all the required paperwork,” police said.
School officials said police are investigating the matter, and a review of the district’s enrollment process will be conducted.
This is not the first time an adult has been caught posing as a high school student.
