Two men shot and robbed security guards in South Africa

Two security guards have been shot and robbed of their firearms on Numbi Gate Road near Masoyi outside White River in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

“The two security guards were inside a patrol vehicle on Numbi Gate Road when they were approached by two people, who began firing shots,” according to the spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.

They were stripped of their firearms, with the shooters fleeing on foot.

Both security guards were seriously injured.

They were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Plans have been launched in an effort to trace the gunmen, said Mohlala.
