Several deaths after container falls on vehicles

A 40-foot container fell on vehicles traveling at the Cele bus stop along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos State, killing many commuters.

A driver of one of the commercial buses was immediately confirmed dead while the other two managed to escape, according to reports.

Five of the passengers on the bus that the container fell on were rushed to the hospital where they were confirmed dead.

Police officers from Ilasa division are on the ground doing the needful and also effort is on for recovery.

The number of victims of the incident has not been revealed.
