The jury chaired this year by the Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has chosen the Malian singer Hawa Dialo, known as the artist Black AD.
For her, the fight for the African beauty is “that of a life”.
Among the 10 finalists, Black AD seduced the jury and became the winner of the 2022 edition of the Prix Découvertes RFI.
Her songs are clever mix of afro-pop, Rn&b, and more modern sounds.
Black AD has as references the artists Oumou Sangare or the South African Nomceba. She dreams to collaborate with her compatriots Fatoumata Diawara and Salif Keita.
