Ghana: Young people boo President Akufo-Addo during a festival

Young Ghanaians booed President Nana Akufo-Addo at a global citizen festival, scanding ‘away’ at his presence before he could make his point.

The President had been introduced to the government’s moves in prioritizing women empowerment among other causes in line with the organizers’ mission for social justice.

Young booed at him, while others shouted “away!” as he finished his speech.

Videos surfaced on social media showing the incident.
