“Ghana SHS students now carry guns in schools,” coordinator reveals

Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the Student Representative Council (SRC) in Ghana, Raphael Sarkodie, has revealed that high school students now carry guns in school, Ghana Pulse reported.

According to Mr Sakodie, Ghana students reel frequently from pains of the criminal use of guns.

“The trend has become problematic even during sports competitions in schools,” he added.

He revealed that these weapons range from daggers to cutlasses, pins, and others

Speaking on Kumasi-based Ultimate FM, Sarkodie said students of today are smart for all the wrong reasons, a situation that needs to be checked.

His comments come after three SHS students of the Opoku Ware School (OWASS) were arrested for a robbery incident at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, the news agency added.
