Tunisian President Kais Saied released details of the new constitutional draft that would significantly expand his powers, local media reported.
Written by a commission whose members he himself appointed, the draft Constitution is cut, unsurprisingly, for Kaïs Saïed.
Under the proposals, most political power would be exercised by the president.
He would have ultimate authority over the judiciary and army as well as the government.
Kais Saied, who has ruled by decree since sacking the government a year ago, says the draft document published in the official gazette, will be put to a referendum next month.
Opposition political parties rejected the referendum in advance.
