Missing Zimbabwean opposition activist Moreblessing Ali has been found in a well in the country’s capital, Harare, ending a widely publicized search, the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has said.
She was reported missing following an argument with a former boyfriend, Pius Jambo.
Mr Jambo, described by the CCC as a supporter of the ruling party, allegedly dragged her out of a bar in May.
The ruling party, Zanu PF, has denied involvement in the killing and asked that police be allowed to do their investigations.
Police have previously said they were treating the case as domestic rather than politically motivated, the BBC reported.
