Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s fleece jacket has become a symbol of bravery as it has been the president’s main outfit since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine.
During a fundraiser for Ukraine in London “Brave Ukraine”, this fleece jacket was sold for more than 100,000 euros.
“Today, the whole world admires a man wearing a simple fleece jacket. And now the iconic item, personally signed by President Zelensky, is here,” the Ukrainian Embassy in the UK announced in a video posted to Twitter in which President Zelensky is seen wearing the jacket.
It’s about “telling the stories of (Ukrainian) bravery that became iconic during the war, as well as raising funds to support that bravery,” the tweet read.
