concerts ban lifted in Rwanda

Rwanda: good news for artists

The Rwandan government has announced that it has lifted the ban on concerts imposed as a measure to curb the spread of covid-19.This is rather good news for Rwandan artists.

The ban was effected in December after a rise in Covid-19 cases attributed to the Omicron variant.

The government says concert organisers should seek permission 10 days before the event.

The concert tickets will be sold online and the recommended capacity is 50% for indoor venues and 75% for outdoor.

Proof of vaccination or PCR tests are required for those attending the concerts.
