Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has taken oath for a new term. He now begins a five-year term in office after his party won the elections in June 2020.
The Ethiopian Addis Standard newspaper tweeted a photo of the Mr Abiy taking the oath of office:
Mr Ahmed was first appointed prime minister in 2018 by then ruling party TPLF following anti-government protests.

With his new government he will try to find a solution to the conflict in the north being the most pressing one.
