Somalia: scramble between President Farmajo and PM over security minister sacking

Disagreements between the Somali president and his prime minister are intensifying. The Prime Minister of the country has indeed dismissed the Minister of Security, a decision that the president rejected.

Prime Minister Mohamed Roble sacked the minister late Wednesday but President Mohamed Abdullahi “Farmajo” rejected the move.

Mr Roble replaced Security Minister Hassan Hundubey Jimale with Abdullahi Mohamed Nur.

President Farmajo on Thursday said the move was unconstitutional.
