Six secondary school students in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been banned from attending any school in the country. They had in fact filmed a sex tap which was widely shared on social media, Actualite Congo website reports.
The six students were expelled following a directive by Education Minister Tony Mwaba.
The sex tap video shows five school boys and one girl, outside their school in the capital, Kinshasa.
Their school uniforms were clearly visible in the video.
After the sanction, they cannot attend any school in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Human Rights Minister Albert-Fabrice Puela has however said the ban contravenes children’s rights.
