Ghana lifts visa requirements for Africans

Ghana has adopted a policy of free movement, allowing all citizens of the continent to travel without a visa, as of January 01.

Ghana joins Rwanda, Seychelles, Gambia and Benin, the four other African states that have already introduced such a measure.

This decision marks an important step towards promoting intra-African mobility and cooperation between countries on the continent, in line with the objective of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), a flagship project aimed at boosting trade and regional integration in Africa, the same media outlet points out.
