Sudan: 1,235 people die of cholera

In Sudan, the cholera epidemic has claimed 1,235 lives, according to the Sudanese Ministry of Health.

The Sudanese Ministry of Health reported that the total number of cholera cases in the country had reached 47,366.

According to the Ministry’s figures, the number of people who have lost their lives in the cholera epidemic has reached 1,235.

The rains and floods that have been affecting Sudan since June are the main factors behind the spread of cholera.

On August 12, the Sudanese authorities officially declared a cholera epidemic.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) reported on October 1 that 3.4 million Sudanese children were at risk of the epidemic.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on October 5 that it had sent 1.4 million doses of cholera vaccine to Sudan.

In Sudan, where the war is still going on, the spread of epidemics at a time when the health system is not functioning effectively is making people’s lives more difficult.
