An officer stationed at the Nsawam Prisons, has been killed at Kasoa Iron City in the Awutu Senya Municipality of the Central Region, Ghana.
The unfortunate incident occurred when he went to spend the weekend with his mother.
According to Adom News,” the deceased was stabbed and his lifeless body dumped in a gutter.”
According to his brother, “some residents close by who heard his confrontation with the assailants disclosed that all pleas for mercy fell on deaf ears.”
The deceased is in his early 30s with no wife or child with the body deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary.
The family is appealing to state security agencies to swiftly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, neighbours, who have been left in shock over the gruesome murder have described him as a calm gentleman with a soft heart.
