Ghana: three men shot dead in a gold store

Six robbers have attacked a gold buying store and shot indiscriminately, killing three people at Wassa Ntwetwena in the Assa Amenfi East Municipality of Ghana’s Western Region, according to reports.

“The victims included the gold dealer, his friend and a passerby,” according to witness.

The Police have launched a manhunt for the robbers.

The bodies have been deposited at the morgue for preservation.

A special police team comprising investigation, intelligence and operational officers have also been deployed to beef up security in the town and surrounding communities.

A Special Anti-Robbery squad arrested the suspects while they were fleeing the robbery scene.
