Man arrested in Ghana for attempting to kill himself

A 30-year-old man was arrested after attempting to kill himself by climbing a telecom mast at Kasoa CP in the Awutu Senya East municipality, Ghana, due to the current economic hardship.

According to witnesses, the suspect was seen climbing an MTN mast in the afternoon.

Despite warnings from passers-by, he went ahead with the act.

But some residents, not wanting to put up with this spectacle, rushed to arrest him, sensing the danger.

He was then handed over to the police for investigation.

He attributed his act to the current economic difficulties, Adom News website reported.
