Kenya: at least 16 dead and 400 injured

In Kenya, thousands of people marched across the country on Wednesday, in memory of those killed, injured or missing during the June 25, 2024 demonstration, these people were denouncing the rising cost of living.

According to reports, at least 16 people were killed during demonstrations in Kenya.

The marches degenerated and the police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowds.

According to Amnesty Kenya, most of the victims were killed by police fire.

During several weeks of demonstrations last year against a controversial finance bill, more than 60 people were killed, and dozens more abducted.
