The bodies of a pilot and two passengers have been found after a plane crashed in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday, according to reports.
The light aircraft disappeared from radar on Sunday shortly after taking off from Durban’s Virginia airport, at around 3 p.m. local time (1 p.m. GMT).
The South African Aviation Rescue Coordination Centre (ARCC), which was leading a rescue operation after the aircraft disappeared, said the wreckage was discovered shortly before noon in the main search area, west of Greytown.
All three people on board died, ARCC said.
